Apr 9, 2006 I liked this one. Pours out a cloudy yellow color with a huge white head. Aroma is yeasty and cituisy. Flavor is the very same.

Apr 8, 2006 Surprising to me, this still is a corked bottle - did not know that. Pours out with a massive white head and it is yellow in color with a ton of shit floating in it. Taste is sweet yeasty and overall very pleasant. A nice beer, a good summer time beer I would say.

Apr 3, 2006 Picture perfect pour; vibrant orange, a touch cloudy, ’flat white’ style head. Thin, a touch spotty but holds good form. Great bouquet of piercing spices and cinnamon. Fragrant yet has weight. Travels well in the palate as well. Wit character not so obvious as the flavours firm up...the spice is their but more in a bitter style. To be honest I’d prefer the aromatic style but a minor quibble. Next to Rochforte this house may be the best Belgian regularly available in Oz.

Mar 29, 2006 From bottle, poured at the 2006 Pizza Port 12 Hour Belgian Beer Party courtesy of a generous ratebeerian. Creamy, bizarre greenish-gold colored pour with a full, white head. Very yeasty aromas of lemon spiced tea, cream, dried oregano, and a slightly sour sugar encrusted bread. Almost creamy mouthfeel, with an acceptable level of complexity on the tongue. The light lemony citrus flavors shine through with a bit of yeasty banana cream pie. A touch watery and light on the palate, but the balance between fruits and yeasty spice is elegant.

Mar 21, 2006 Bottle. Very cloudy orangey beer with a smooth white head. The aroma has very little fruitiness and more a musty yeastiness. The flavour is quite bitter and vinous and dry at the finish. Overall rather more like a Belgian blonde beer than a wheat bear.

Mar 6, 2006 "Solid whit. Poured a cloudy brown color medium head. Aroma was of coriander, floral and some funkyness. Flavor of wheat and citrus, the funk taste came out as it warmed up."

Mar 1, 2006 Seems a bit stronger than your average witbier, but then again I see that word double at the top of the page. Lots of plum and sherbet in the aroma. On tasting it seemed quite dusty and the alcohol was a bit too present. The flavour was a touch sour, but with some bitterness joining the party. It was medium bodied, and a little too gassy. Not bad, but it could be better. Could have been a dodgy bottle though.

Feb 26, 2006 Bottle, 33cl. Hazy yellow colour (almost amber) with a huge white head that lasts long. Very lively and beautiful. Aroma is sweet, with hints of fruits and yeast. Flavour is just fabulous: sweet, spicy and flowered, very refreshing and tasty. No acidity on this one. Blanche des Honnelles was a big surprise to me. Great appearence and marvellous flavour. Different from most of the Witbiers i know. But overall, one of the best Wits i’ve ever had!
