Commercial Description:
Blanche des Honnelles (1991) was originally very localised, and has since expanded beyond the boundries of the greater and lesser Honnelle rivers, from which it takes it's name. The Blanche des Honnelles leaves the beaten path somewhat. It has an amber colour which is after all the traditional appearance of the Blanches. It is also stronger (6%) than the Blanches that we know. Its taste is surprising and is not comparable to the brews with the same name that are now on the market. If the bouquet is subdued its first flavour is a stark dry sharpness against a pepper background. There is no acidity in this Blanche that is made with three cereals (barley, wheat, oats). It has a stimulating taste, leaving a subdued but refreshing final impression. Lots of character and curious.

Aroma: herbal hop notes with some malt. Appearance: cloudy orange/brown with a good just off white head. Sheet to sudsy lacing. Flavour: sharp pine needly herbalness and some sweet malt. Palate: medium mouthfeel with lingering malt and bitterness.

75cl bottle...one glass poured fairly clean, the second was full of proteins floating around...impressize head, white and puffy, one a golden hazy beer...incredible fruity aroma, very typical of the ADR beers...and very enjoyable. Drinks with a good body, and some sweetness...very fruity beer and actually quite yummy to me...it was a great change of pace after drinking 4 different gueuze beers.

Bottled. Citrus aroma. Golden color, clear! (strange for a white), good lace. Sweet, light bitter, grapefruit, soft yet sparkling. Very drinkable beer.

Moyenne densité des bulles. Saveur: Goût de pamplemousse et de poivre (?). Long arrière goût. Palette: Corps moyen avec une texture mince. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Amertume en arrière goût. Slighly yeasty smell, with a bit of something acidic I can’t quite place. It pours a few shades away from clear. This is a well carbonated, hoppy and yeasty beer.
