Commercial Description:
Blanche des Honnelles (1991) was originally very localised, and has since expanded beyond the boundries of the greater and lesser Honnelle rivers, from which it takes it's name. The Blanche des Honnelles leaves the beaten path somewhat. It has an amber colour which is after all the traditional appearance of the Blanches. It is also stronger (6%) than the Blanches that we know. Its taste is surprising and is not comparable to the brews with the same name that are now on the market. If the bouquet is subdued its first flavour is a stark dry sharpness against a pepper background. There is no acidity in this Blanche that is made with three cereals (barley, wheat, oats). It has a stimulating taste, leaving a subdued but refreshing final impression. Lots of character and curious.

...bottle from Cloudwine. Poured a darkish orange, with lots of tight bubbles, and a small white head that lasted for a good while. On the nose, majorly wheat, maybe a slight hint of hops, but nothing else. Medium bodied, decent flavor, slightly weird from the pepper notes, but not the typical orange\corriander duo. Didn’t taste much like a wit, had more blonde-like flavors. Dry finish, with a weird aftertaste, but wasn’t too bad. Not bad, but rather expensive and not really worth it for the flavor.

Pours hazy orange yellow with tons of bubbly offwhite head. Aroma very light dough and lemon. Flavor extremely doughy with slight citric undertone. Too yeasty for my liking.

At KBW in Vichte (B). A hazy pale yellow colored beer. It has foamy white head. The aroma is a little sour, with fruity sweet in it. Also some spice. The taste is little sour and sweet too. Fresh orange like sweet, with a little spices in the back. The beer has a long bitter aftertaste. A different kind a witbeer.

Botella. Nice orange colour with a big fairly well lalsting head. Aroma of wheat, some fruits and spices. Quite good a mouthfeel. The flavour is refreshing with fruits and wheat along with some yeast, spice and malt. Mild bitter finish.

Nice belgian white. The pour was a filled with sediment and was an orange gold color. The aroma was orange peel and other fruits along with some wheat. The flavor was yeasty, with a tingle to it. Nice one indeed.
