hughie (2415), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Sep 17, 2005 Cloudy golden colour with some sediment. The head was rather thin and didn’t last or leave lacing. Not a great deal of aroma - perhaps a bit of caramel. The taste reminded me of the Seville oranges they use to make marmalade - a hint of sweetness but dryness too, and plenty of lemon as well as orange.
Theis (2485), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 27, 2008 Bottle at home. Cloudy amber - white head. Fruity, orange, yeasty, spicy, wheaty, sweetness, soapy, light bitterness, sulfor, honey, a bit unpleasant. Dedollewaitor (2217), Odense, Denmark Nov 21, 2008 My 100th Belgian Ale. 33cl bottle. Thanks to Madsnp. Pours cloudy gold with a small white head. Nose & taste is yeasty & spicy. Lots of cardemom, sugar & fruity orange. Quite one dimensional but very well made. blankboy (2687), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 18, 2008 Bottle (11.6oz) shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of mabel. Pours a very cloudy orange with tons of floaties of various sizes and a small creamy white head. Aroma of yeast with fruit, some light sugary sweetness and spices. Flavour’s also yeasty and fruity along with spices and a light bitterness. Average to medium bodied. Didn’t wow me but it’s decent. Ober (527), Best, Netherlands Oct 30, 2008 A clear golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is fruity, ripe apples. It’s malty with some caramel. The taste is dry sweet, notes of nutes and spices. It’s fruity like orange and peaches. A bit liquorice. It’s a little syrupy. The aftertaste a little bitter sweet.
jerc (3268), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 26, 2008 2008-10-22. Hazy orange body with a small white head and a lot of protein floaties. Mild aroma, yeast, light honey, mild malt. Pleasant but muted. (6+) Flavour is similar, light dry malt, touch of dry fruit? Modest sugars. Average plus bodied palate. Pleasant, but milder than expected. Could drink a lot of of it though. Yumm! Bottle from Beer Mania, Brussels.
