This was a very enjoyable and drinkable Belgian Strong Ale. It poured a large sized ivory head that was creamy and frothy and contained fine-large sized bubbles that quickly dissipated. The body had fizzy carbonation, it was cloudy, yeasty, and it had an orange-amber hue. The nose was fruity, citrusy and some caramel. This beer's flavor was sweet, some sourness, caramel, alcohol and it was a bit sugary. The palate was very smooth, a bit dry, alcohol and light-medium bodied. There was no lacing observed with this beer.

Aug 24, 2008 Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured hazy orange color with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma was complex sweet yeast and citrus. Medium sticky body with thin particles and soft carbonation. Medium sweet yeasty flavor with medium sweet with small alcohol bite finish. Good sweet complex brew.

Aug 22, 2008 Bouteille verte de 750 ml obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie. Arôme: Odeur d’agrumes et de caramel avec une pointe d’épices. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée voilée avec une moyenne densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col beige pétillant et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel et d’orange légèrement amer avec une pointe d’épices. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture minérale. Forte effervescence en bouche. Aug 14, 2008 A hazy orange/amber colored beer, with a light beige thick foamy head. The aroma is nice fruity, toffee and caramel. There are some hops in the back. The taste is complex fruity, raisins, prune, pears, peaches, orange. It has a nice sweetness and a little bitter. In the back some yeast and hops. It has a dry aftertaste.

Jul 15, 2008 Bottle at Cambrinus, 6/21 in Bruges. Pours dark amber with minimal head. Aroma of caramel malts with additional notes of fruits. Taste is sweet, bnut not cloy. There is a lot of complexity on this beer, with additional notes of spice and wine. A very good beer from one of my favorite brewers.
