Bouteille de 750 ml obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie. Arôme: Odeur de caramel fruité et d’épices. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée foncée. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel fruité et d’épices avec une pointe d’alcool. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement fruité. (Rating #2736)

The label says it is a natural beer with only malt, hops, and yeast, and no additives. Medium brown with a tall, fine, long-lasting head.
Aroma of amber malts, yeast, chocolate and spices.
Rather roasted, burnt flavor, very malty. A touch sweet, but overall dry. A bit of an earthy flavor as well. Very solid and rich. Lots of carbonation. Very malty and medium to heavy body. Sour taste as well as dryness. Some natural spiciness, maybe a touch of vanilla? Alcohol heat comes mostly in the finish, along with a dry taste, though it doesn’t quite seem like hops. An excellent, rich beer, but not really Christmas-like. Good and strong, though, so it is a bit wintery.

Dec 16, 2009 bottle @ Brugsch Beertje, Dark amber/Brown colour with nice beige and stable head. Smell: dark fruits. Taste: very sugary, a bit bitter in the aftertaste, plums, big alcohol flavour and yeast. Not bad but far too sweet beer for me.

Dec 3, 2009 From bottle. Light spicy notes to this with a lot of brown candi sugar and caramel. Sweet and musky with neutral fruity esters. Kind of syrupy in the nose, too. A bit of hop notes but subtle. Dark brown-amber slight haze with foamy creamy lasting lacing off-white to very light tan head. Medium heavy watery body with high fizzy carbonation, a bit of gassy burn, and light alcohol warming. Starts and stops sweet with light spicy character, a bunch of dark candi sugar and sweet malts. Light roasted character. Nutty sweet finish with a bit of mild bitter but mainly sweet. The high fizzyness cuts down on the cloying factor, but it’s still too sweet.

Nov 30, 2009 Bottle. High fluffy but lasting off-white head. Lovely clear red body. Barley malt aroma with caramel cocoa nutmeg and weak notes of citrus. Smooth and mild relatively sweet caramel cocoa spicy flavor with low carbonation and a short aftertaste. Alcohol well hidden.

Nov 15, 2009 17th July 2008. Brown beer. Rich sweet creamy malt with a strong marmite tone. Dry finish with a little coca cola. Very drinkable.

Oct 23, 2009 Pours dark brown, foamy tan head. Taste is very malty, sweet, syrup and yeast, dark fruits, prunes and a sweet finish with almost no alcohol. Nice beer.

Jul 22, 2009 Bottle at Kulminator. This orange/brown ale poured with a modest beige head and a strong toffee aroma. There is a robust caramel flavor with a slight amount of carbonation and a little hop bitterness at the finish.
