Pours a cloudy ruby amber. Powerfully fruity aroma of cranberries, raisins and a bit of apple. The flavor brings out a tartness (not-quite-ripe strawberries) and a bitterness (mild grapefruit) that weren’t in the aroma - this one’s all across the map, yet balances the flavor very well. Mouthfeel is nearly perfect - heavy, but not sticky and still well-carbonated. This isn’t one I’d pick up very often, but its complexity is interesting, and it drinks very well for such a fruity beer.

Caramelly, toasty aromas with a slight musty smell. Pours cloudy amber with a solid white head that seems to be lasting as i let it warm a little. Green raisons, very malty, hints of caramel, with some fruity flavors, fresh grapes. towards the finish there’s a very slight tartness, but finishes sweet and smooth.

Deep dark-red brown color,, with an creamy beige head. Aroma yeast, malt, some sweetness . Full body. Taste fruits, roasted malts, bittersweet chocolate, bit rum, good balanced in the finish with hopsbitter. Alcohlic warm feeling. NICE.

Bottled, thanks ante! Cloudy brownish dark amber with creamy head. Estery pineapple aroma with some raspberries. Sweet and full bodied. Potent concentrated juicy flavours of strawberry esters, lingonberry and wood. Alocohil is fuelling the intesnity of the flavours, but does not disturb. A full flavoured very good beer. In fact nearly as good as their somewhat less strong releases which is a very good thing.

75cl bottle. Deep brown color with a medium beige head and lots of chunks floating around. Looks good disregarding all of the sediment, but when you give it a close look, its a little unsettling. Winey aroma with tart cherries and pineapple, with a caramelized sugar base. The flavor is bursting with tart fruits that curb the intense sweetness at first, but seem to emphasize it before too long. By the end of the glass, the sugar became cloying. The body was pretty full, with good carbonation, but the protein chunks added a slight chewiness that became a bit much at the end. I think that this would be a nicer beer in small doses without the chunks, but trying to drink a whole bottle as-is was almost impossible. Definitely a let down after the other beers I’ve had from these guys.

Poured a nice deep red/brown with a minimal head. A little malty, a little fruity. Creamy and smooth. Nice beer.

Bottled. Pours out in a cloudy reddish brown colour, topped with a low white foam. Cherries, cumin, mild pepper, anise-seeds, leather and figs in the aroma. Figs, nutmeg, leather, black cherries and brown sugar in the flavour. Medium-bodied with a surprisingly light mouthfeel despite it’s strength. Long warming finish of dried oranges, cherries, milky chocolate and nutmeg. Quite tasty but I expected more from this one.

Bottle. Pours a dark hazy amber brown with small but lasting off-white head. Aroma is spicy with brown sugar. Dark fruits with spicy yeast and sweet brown sugar. Creamy full body. This is not as good as the other abbey des rocs Ive had but is still excellent.
