Black stout which poured lively. Some hoppiness and a lasting chocolate malt roast finish which goes on and on.
2. Cask Handpump at Oakwood High School, Rotherham 22/02/2003
Black and lively with a full roast finish.
maeib (3959), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England May 2, 2004 Cask conditioned - no sparkler - Malt Shovel Northampton BF. The aroma suggests a good stout with its roastiness. It is obviously very dark and appealing to the eye. Unfotunately though the beer in spite of having some pleasing stout-like tastes is far too thin and watery for its 6.2% ABV.
