| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 9, 2008 Has a nice reddish-brown glow. Thin head. Malty nose with plums, raisins and a hint of brown sugar. Firm alcohol grips the palate, leaving burnt fruits and traces of chocolate in its wake. Finishes with a mix of alcoholic dryness and sweet apricot, fig and raisin. Interesting the way this beer approaches you, but it retains a style and class that puts it ahead of its peers. hopscotch (5483), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 18, 2007 Draft... Hazy amber ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The nose is an eddy of caramel, fuzzy and tropical fruits. Fruity, malty flavor delivers blasts of caramel, dates, fuzzy and tropical fruits. Full-bodied and syrupy with lively carbonation. Sweet, tangy finish. jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 13, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Chocolate maltiness and bready yeast merge in a creamy, authentic Belgian mouthfeel which ably displays fruity undertones. A competent and flavorful Abbey Dubbel.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A thin slice of foam garnishes the hazy reddish-amber.
-Alcohol is nicely concealed.
-It finishes dry, with a little hop show.
-Is that a little DMS in the nose, or that quirky yeast again?
-This was their best beer the day I visited (and I imagine it’s a new name for the 12-degree...alias soon?).
On tap at the brewpub.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 20, 2009 Enjoyed on tap at the brewery, with the owner and with Josh Oakes and Beershine. A mild aroma. Chocolate dark, nice lacing. A bit sour which detracted. Above-average mouthfeel rom the yeast. Hard to believe its contracted out to Florida Brewing. A sipper. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Draught @ Abbey Brewing Company Miami. Small light beige fizzy head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Cloudy brownish amber color. Aroma was a nice mix of fruity and nutty malty notes. Raisins, toffee, apricot, fig, yeast with a mild feel of chocolate as well. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet flavor with mild bitterness. Lingering sweet dried fruity and mild warming alcoholic finish. What an Abbey Dubbel BOMB. presario (2983), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 12, 2008 On tap at Abbey. Reddish brown "nut" colour. Very light skiff. Smells like alcohol. Dominant alcohol with sweet caramel underneath. Seems a little plain. Like a dirty triple. daknole (2940), Plantation, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2008 Of the 3 on tap that I had, this was my least favorite. Tasted a bit thin and not as full as I would have expected. I was told that this beer was just released and had not fully developed. Still it was pretty good.
