Pours a clear, coppery amber color with a small, foamy, off-white head. The froth settles quickly to a thin layer, leaving sticky splotches and flares of lacing behind. The aroma is quite like an English pale, toasty biscuit and light crystal malts balanced out by hoppy notes of citrus blossoms and fresh cut grass. The flavor shows more of the same, toasty and biscuity up front, never too sweet, with nice citrus peel and grass bitterness. Medium-plus in substance, with lively but not overly active carbonation, the palate is pretty neutral. Not bad overall. dkoonce (884), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 31, 2009 Contract brew for the pub. Amber, with a thin head. Very little aroma. Heavy, with a malt and hop balance that is atypical. Butters (1650), Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 31, 2009 Draft at the abbey brewing company. Clear light gold pour with large fluffy near white head. Pleasant hop flavor but the aroma is a bit weak. Nice and balanced and not overly bitter. A little on the watery side. smith4498 (884), Miami, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 23, 2009 Draft @ Abbey Brewing Company. Pours dark golden color with white head. Pine hop aroma, citrus, malt. Bitter pine hop flavor with slight maltiness. Somewhat thin body with average carbonation. Kind of in between an APA and IPA. Decent. Rustyham (560), miami, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 7, 2009 A delicious flavor, although far from tasting like an IPA. It has some pleasant, smooth fruit flavors over a strong malty body, but no discernible hops or bitterness. More like an American Pale Ale. Works for me :] Grovlam (3809), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Draught @ Abbey Brewing Company Miami. Small fizzy light beige head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Light cloudy pale amber color. Aroma was clear crisp hoppy notes with solid malty base. Notes of fruit, citrus, grape, biscuit, caramel. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and dry texture. Moderated bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering dry bitter hoppy finish. cbeers21 (567), Miami, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 18, 2008 Draft. Looks good. Nice lighter copper pour with good head. Hoppy to smell and taste, and is the dominant flavor. Citrusy pineyness there too. Fairly well balanced, carbonated and drinkable. solid. daknole (2918), Plantation, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2008 tap. Rich amber pour. Hoppy nose, but with some sweet fruity notes. Malt is present on the nose as well. Flavor is pretty nice with a good malt backbone, hops, citrus and a good finish of malt again. Nice.
