Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - May. New for 2004.
Mild is traditionally the month that Camra promote Mild and we like to offer our support when we can and produce a 4.0% abv dark Mild for May.
Mild doesn't necessary mean week: it means 'not bitter'. Many Milds are indeed low gravity, but the most important characteristic of this style is that is has a low hop rate which makes it rounder, normally slightly sweeter, and distinctly less bitter on the palate and in aroma than more highly hopped bitters. Usually but not always Mild is darker in colour than bitter.

A mid-brown, chocolatey brew with a thin-ish malty body but a full chocolatey, dryish finish. (Cask @ Bag o’Nails, Bristol)

Mid brown colour - not very dark for a mild. Smoky malt aroma. There is some coffee in the flavour, but it is all a bit thin and watery. The finish tends towards grainy. A new beer for this brewery - a reasonable first effort, but could do better. Cask (gravity), Thurrock Beer Festival.

Bright bottled @ Thurrock Fest. Fresh notes: "Gentle, light, but with a good coffee kick. Score 3.0" A fairly average mild - I may have been a bit enthusiastic giving it a score of 3.0 - but decent enough and fairly harmless.
