Jun 12, 2004 Mid brown colour - not very dark for a mild. Smoky malt aroma. There is some coffee in the flavour, but it is all a bit thin and watery. The finish tends towards grainy. A new beer for this brewery - a reasonable first effort, but could do better. Cask (gravity), Thurrock Beer Festival.

Jun 6, 2004 Bright bottled @ Thurrock Fest. Fresh notes: "Gentle, light, but with a good coffee kick. Score 3.0" A fairly average mild - I may have been a bit enthusiastic giving it a score of 3.0 - but decent enough and fairly harmless.
