Commercial Description:
Cask, Spring;
In the 2004 Camra Good Beer Guide, Abbey Ales has been credited with a brand called Resurrection, a 4.6% guest beer for April. Such is the power of the Drinker's Bible, that we started getting requests from Beer Festival organisers all around the country for "Resurrection please, you know, your Easter Guest beer"! Thus it was meant to be and our Head Brewer Martin Langham produced a golden new 4.6% brew.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Merchants Inn, Rugby. More amber than golden with a lively whitish head and lacing. The aroma and taste are fruity, especially the taste. Cherry and raspberry notes. Quite chewy and a little odd to be honest.

On gravity at the Bristol Beer Festival 14/3/08. Deep gold in colour with no head. Sweet malt aroma with some barley sugar and earthy hops. The flavour was a bit syrupy with a short bitter finish and prominent alcohol. A bit brash for my liking.
