Poured a cloudy orangeish gold in color with a nice medium sized head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, and light caramel. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small foamy white head and a little bit of lacing. The aroma is a strong citrus grapefruit hops flavor. A little caramel in there to balance it out as well. The flavor is simply outstanding. Lot so juicy grapefruit. Big citrus, floral nose. Big old bitter, balanced well, floral and citrus hop flavor. Great IIPA. Big hop flavor up front, well balanced with caramel malt. Long, resinous hop finish. Above average double IPA. tronraner (1432), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Oct 5, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Pours cloudy copper with big sticky ivory head. The aroma is intense tangerine and pine, much like green pine needles, with a little bit of honey. The flavor is delicious sappy pine with a little bit of tangerine. The malt resembles Ritz crackers with a slight sweetness. Dry finish. Pretty impressive brew.
