Sammy (3240), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 6, 2007 Unfiltered, at the Valley Inn. Mini ring of white on pale yellow, with lace. Apple and wheat, high carbonation. Medium to light mouthfeel. On the sweet side. Not their best
tronraner (1480), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Oct 5, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with attractive white head. The aroma is nicely citrusy, with even a bit of grapefruit and Pacific Northwest hops, and a little bit of lemon bread. The flavor is hoppier than I was expecting. Lemon and grapefruit jump out at me first, then a spicy wheat maltiness and dry finish. Those yeasty tones typical of a hefeweizen work their way in gradually. I liked this, kind of like a wheaty pale ale. FROTHINGSLOSH (1558), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 29, 2007 Sampled on draft this beer poured a cloudy very pale yellow color with a small white head. The aroma was sweet, lemony and yeasty. The flavor was tart and tangy bitter citrus with a dry malt base and a hint of wheat. Glazed9884 (207), USA Jun 30, 2007 xxxDrank this at the Beer Expo in State College. My favorite brewery at the event. Nate (2291), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 15, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Light wheat aroma, sweet with some orange peel and floral esters and a bit of banana. Light golden yellow clear with no head. Medium light watery body with medium carbonation. Starts with watery wheat malt, medium sweetness and grainy dusty bitterness. Mild banana and some spicyness. Light bitter finish with dry chalky bitter after - a bit of mild bitter orange. I’m not a huge fan of American wheats but this was a nice one.
