Some soapy hops in the mouth, very soft feeling, restrained but ever present bitterness and yes I suppose there is a simple bread like quality to this beer, its ok. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0 Had this once again on Cask at the Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks 06-07-09 Pours dark amber with a thin white head. There is plenty of flavour for the abv. Bitter and fruity and once again I get the bread like quality to this beer, its good stuff marked up on re-rate. A6 A3 F7 P4 Ov14 3.4 Rastacouere (5560), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Thick foam covers the clear amber coloured ale. Surprisingly yeasty brew with banana esters mingling with the toasty and bready malts. Kinda nutty, mostly malty with pie crust leanings. Tartish citrusy hop kiss in the finish. Not bad, but Abbeydale has got quite a few better ones. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Cask conditioned @ Guide Dog, Soton. Brown. Wholemeal bread crusts and malty flavours in the light body with sufficient hop in the finish to provide balancing bitterness and additional earthy flavours. Nice.
