Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 1, 2007 Thick foam covers the clear amber coloured ale. Surprisingly yeasty brew with banana esters mingling with the toasty and bready malts. Kinda nutty, mostly malty with pie crust leanings. Tartish citrusy hop kiss in the finish. Not bad, but Abbeydale has got quite a few better ones. Wholemeal bread crusts and malty flavours in the light body with sufficient hop in the finish to provide balancing bitterness and additional earthy flavours. Nice.
