Cask (handpump) at GBBF, August 2006. Day1, beer #24. Very pale straw colour. Light grassy hop aroma with some subtle honey notes. More restrained herbal hop character on the palate with an unexpected grainy element and more touches of honey. A bit lacking in zip and rather soft. Not in tip top condition, disappointingly.

Aug 18, 2008 Cask at The Devonshire Cat, Sheffield, ’The Peoples Republic of South Yorkshire’ on the Valley of Beer Day 16-08-08 Poured straw coloured, with white head the appearance was quite immaculate, stunning clarity. This is an easy drinking session beer some boiled sweets along with some citrus, very nice beer.

Aug 10, 2008 The Raglan Arms, Rugby. Straw-coloured and nitro creamy. Subtly fruity aroma with grapefruit and floral hops. Soft milky apricot and lemony citrus in the mouth. Bit of a watery finish. Certainly not the hop bite I was expecting, but a pleasantly mellow GA.

Pours with very little head, taste is very fruity, strong apricots and citrus. Kind of average, not as good as some other yorkshire ales.

Pale amber colour, floral aroma. Lovely grapefruit/lemon flavour with a dry bitter finish. Really enjoyed this one. Recommended.

Mar 19, 2008 Half pint on gravity at London Drinker 08. No head. Straw-yellow body. Mild hoppy smell. Taste of rather tang fruity hops. Soft palate (12.03.2008).
