Bottle, Kris Wines, London. Cracked this open to watch the Euro 2008 final and roar home a successful scorecast. Poured jet black with a large brown head. Malty, sweet dark chocolate aroma. Looked promising enough yet was a bit too cloyingly sweet.

A Mes Rate: 33cl bottle from Kris Wines but supped at Lowlander. Black body with a thin tan head. Sweet malty aroma with some peppery notes and oddly some light tobacco too. Flavour is chocolatey, very sweet and lots of grain and cereal. Really cant do sweet stout, and in all honesty, neither can the Belgians.

Bottle: Poured a dark black with a thick beige color head. Very light aroma but suttle hints of sweetness. Sweet taste of candy and malt.

33cl bottle from Noel Cuveliers. Black, with brown edges, lasting dark beige head. Light stout aroma, slightly sweet in mouth. I really don’t like it much. Too sweet, no depth or intensity.
