BBB63 (3795), La Porte, Indiana, USA Sep 27, 2003 Nice ruby hue with a small off-white head and good lace. Fruity and malty aroma with hints of caramel, cherry, lemongrass, and twangy yeast esters. Taste was sweet malt and bitter hops. Minor smoky and a dry finish. Thin-bodied wuth a fizzy and loose mouthfeel. Quaffable, session beer but nothing to get excited about. The ABV for this beer is 4.3% as listed at the brewery.
jaymobrown (1296), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 20, 2003 Watery and thin texture. While some hop and citrus notes, this one didn't seem to come off as well. A worthwhile endeavor that needs some more work. BATLMULLET (127), Highland, Indiana, USA Apr 9, 2003 Sorry, but there is just nothing to this one other than a nice red color. Very thin body. Grainy, not malty sweetness. Maybe there is a proportion of wheat in here that was unexpected. The hops are underbalanced. Keep working on this though. JoeM500 (1877), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA Apr 6, 2003 Dark amber. A bit watery but decent malt sweetness, followed by a flowery hop finish. Another "textbook" and "on-style" ale from Aberdeen. It's hard to go strong on the ratings, but it is very well crafted beer. The brewer has achieved good results, now it's time to get funky and creative (hint...hint...).
