What a disappointment, could have been a photo for ratebeer...as long as sampling wasn’t part of the deal. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2006 Bottle from degarth. Pours a clear, golden color with a decent white head. The head slowly fades to ring the edge of the glass and leaves fine lacing behind. Lightly grainy and bread aroma, not a lot of hop in the nose, perhaps a light herbal note. Light bodied with pleasant carbonation. Lightly toasted grain and slight bread, very modest hop bitterness to balance. Not quite as crisp or drying as I had hoped, but nicely done. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 6, 2006 Thanks to my brother for bringing this one up from New Orleans. The slightly hazy medium yello wbody had a frothy white head on top. The aroma had hoppy character with some oranges. There was also some fresh bread and almonds. The taste was bitter with some bread crust. There was also some grass and a little tobacco. cewldre (268), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Bottle: Pours a golden yellow color with a medium, white head. Smells of kind of sweet, maybe some lemon hints there. I smell just a little bit of some soft spices, but I am not able to place it. Taste is sort of the same, but not as much as the smell would lead on. Taste just has a hit of lemon, with some malt taste there as well. I am not a big fan of most pilsners, but I do like this one. rudolf (1774), Buffalo, New York, USA

Flavor is hay/lightly toasted malt, nice bitterness hanging out, lemon hops. Very light hints of butterscotch. Great creamy body. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA
