European hops all the way through but nothing too intense. Light malts in the finish. Tastes more like a european pilsener than an American. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 14, 2006 Yellow/golden color. Moderate carbonation. No head, but has a faint crown. Sweet floral hop aroma and flavor similar to a Pale Ale. Almost smells like pineapple or something. Has some spiciness in the finish. The bitterness is well balanced and doesn’t linger forever after swallowing. Fairly light on the palate. Clean and crisp -- Very tasty and very refreshing!

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Bottle... Clear yellow lager with a large, frothy, white head. Outstanding retention. Floral, fruity nose with distinct grapefruit and lesser notes of pepper and bread dough. Well-bittered, citrus flavor with a crisp hop kick. Medium-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Lengthy, crisply bitter finish. Good pils... one of my least favorite styles. scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Sparkling 14 kt gold, fizzy white head. Really nice pils nose of grassy hops, soft lemon pepper, with an underlying floral wave. Very well balanced flavor throughout that yells Sazz hops (grassy, floral). Very light sweet toffee malt is hidden deep within. Medium bodied, tingly carbonation, crisp, clean, light bitter finish. A pleasant surprise, and no doubt the best Abita has put out. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Pours yellow with a one-finger white head. Grassy, citrusy aroma with some light maltiness. Great malty beginning with a very nice citrusy hop bite. Crisp, clean, and hoppy, just like it should be. ¾ (5003), Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Clear medium yellow in color. Nice juicy melon and pineapple hop nose, grassy... unexpected, really. Crisp and bitter, chewy pine and spicy and juicy hops. Crisp, bitter like an ESB, smells and tastes like some intense dry-hopping was going on. A little fuesal at times as well, but not distracting or offensive. Very good beer all around. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2006 Light golden color with a taller off-white head. Nice traditional pils nose, with sweet pale malt and citric herbal hops. Crisp and lightly sharp in feel, but nearly too thick at times. Pale malts dominate the flavors, with mild citric hops in the finish and linger. Quite refreshing. Wish more pils were like this in the States. Thanks DocLock. Gachupines (295), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 4, 2006 Clear golden appearance with thin white head. Clean taste with a slight floral hint to the flavor. Also a light, pleasant bitterness present. Finishes quite clean. Overall refereshing, not particularly exciting but a great pilsner for this time of year.
