Abita is great ale brewery, but not so good at Pilsners. When I think of a Pilsner, I think of the great Czech beers like Urquell or Staropramen - or even Shiner (Texas.) This beer does not excite, but does not offend either. Obviously a lot of folks love this beer, so what do I know? shrubber85 (2912), Wallhalben, Germany

Barley malt and light pine hops flavor. Nicely blended. This is a very nice beer - much better than most of their current offerings. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Clear golden bronze with a large white head, decent lacing and retention. Aroma is American hops with light bread. Grapefruit, pine, floral, citrus, grass. Cool stuff. Body was almost perfect, but could have used more butteryness. Really bitter for a pils, although all of the flavors are still there too. Glad it wasn’t focused on just bitterness. What a great surprise though... awesome. guzzler67 (1281), Hanover, Maryland, USA

Grassy, lightly toasted aroma, with the hops providing big hits of citrus. Crisp, dry, medium-bodied mouthfeel. Mild herbal taste, well hopped, some grainyness. Clean finish of average duration. A very well constructed pils. My favorite, so far, from this brewery. dball1869 (16), nashville, Tennessee, USA

Poured a lighter to medium (with a slight haze) golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of grass, grains, floral and light citrus. Tastes follow although on the weaker and somewhat watery side with somewhat of a honey sweetness to it. Thin body. Cajun (144), New Iberia, Louisiana, USA

Is it skunky? Stale? Flat? Stuff like that. This one was, in fact, actually pretty good. Very crisp and refreshing, with a slighlty bigger than I expected hop bite. Nice Pilsener, I’d drink it again.
