Feb. 2007 - Beer poured pale/golden yellow with very little head or lacing. Aroma was extreme grass and flowers. The flavor was sweet pilsner malts with a lot of floral grassy undertones with mild bitterness and a weird soapy flavor which dissipated as it warmed. The hops reminded me of the spices in doritos...and I’m not sure that is a wonderful thing, although it got significantly better as it warmed.

Apr 14, 2008 Pours gold with a white head. Smells of sweet caramel, touches of apples, some dry straw and hay. Tastes of sweet malt, lightly fruity, some peppery splashes and a semi dry finish.

Mar 9, 2008 Pours golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, lightly herbal. Smells close to a noble hop, but there’s a bit of hop fruitiness. Taste is herbal, notes of cookie, bready malt, light hop resins and toasted malt. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Probably the best beer from Abita.

Feb 27, 2008 I cant find my self enjoying this too much. Its too thin and the malts are uninspiring. for a special anniversary ale, its not too good

Feb 27, 2008 The aroma has corn malt, and floral hops. The appearance is hazy gold with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall it’s so so at best.
