Tastes of mildly toasted malt, wheat, hops, and a pear overtone. Alcohol flavors begin to come through as the beer warms. Coffee aftertaste. Very clean.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Feb 27, 2008 Crisp and refreshing, but very watery. Small amounts of malt - kind of weak taste. Not bad, just weak. TurboDog a much better brew. BitchesBrew (712), Oakland, California, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 21, 2008 [WBA styles tasting] Clear amber color. DMS aroma, musty rubber. Caramel, sweet flavors. Low hop presence. Certainly a bad bottle, but a nice lesson in DMS. AmazonMatt (285), Panama
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 20, 2008 What a funny beer. It has almost no aroma, but there is this hint of sewer water if you try to find some aroma by sniffing really hard. However the flavor is pretty good, I like Viennas I guess. Not too malty, not sweet, but refreshing and light. Watery, but here in Panama, I’m not Jonesing for a big beer. I found the flavor right on. Sessionable, not meant for pondering. Too poorly rated. Available this week at Riba Smith, they seem to be trying to bring in diverse beers to Panama. Who knows how long it will last. jfenglish (219), Chicago, Illinois, USA

It put them where they are today and it’s a good solid example of an American micro-brewed lager. A good, competent brew. Fresh and malty on the nose and a malty taste with only the slightest hint of hoppyness. Subtle finish of fresh bread. Abita’s description as well as a lot of the ratings mention "caramel". I don’t taste the caramel in this brew. I do like it though! dolemite77 (184), Maryville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 18, 2008 bottle in Louisiana. First beer after a long day of travel. So it might be a bit skewed. I enjoyed it quite a lot. And I’m not a big lager fan. Enough malts to give it a rich taste. Aroma was weak but not offensive. Flavor a nice caramel. Decent mouthfeel. Not sure in NOLA will have many micro options. If not,I’ll come back to this. beachbum25 (807), Powellville, Maryland, USA

Solid, easy drinking Amber w/flavors of roasted malt, caramel, toffee, & bread dough. If you like Ambers like I do, you will enjoy this beer. Very Yuengling like; definite session brew. Something you can enjoy & not think too much about.
