Taste was a bit bitter and I thought the hops and malts didn’t match up very well. Maybe my bottle was skunked. desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Served on draft in a plastic cup on Rue Bourbon. Nice. Dark-ish amber body with little head. Aroma is bready and sweet. Flavor is smooth and mild, with a bit of spicy hops rounded out with lots of doughy maltiness. Palate is smooth with less than average carbonation. Pretty decent beer. I remember this being better on draft back then compared to what i can buy at the store now. tjthresh (1774), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 23, 2007 Pours a brilliantly clear amber with a froathy white head. Some caramel and toasted malt aroma with a punch of noble type hop aroma. Flavor is nice. Not special. Not offensive. A nice drinking beer. A touch more on the toasted side than caramel, but neither are really all that upfront. Thin palate. Better than swill, but not great. mcclenw (36), Stevenson, Alabama, USA
