Jan 23, 2007 Pours a brilliantly clear amber with a froathy white head. Some caramel and toasted malt aroma with a punch of noble type hop aroma. Flavor is nice. Not special. Not offensive. A nice drinking beer. A touch more on the toasted side than caramel, but neither are really all that upfront. Thin palate. Better than swill, but not great.

Jan 7, 2007 From a stubby twist off 12 oz. bottle with a blurb and notched freshness date on the back label.
Poured a orangey amber with a small fluffy, foamy head, a minimal amount of laced ringed sticking.
Aromas of toasted grains and caramel malts, a bit leafy herbal too.
Good carbonation and a crisp, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Tastes of toasted grains, bready, touches of sweet caramel, a soft bitterness from spicy, herbal hops and dry toasted, husky grainy finish with a little caramel lingering in the palate.
Easy drinkability, quaffable, another nice lager from Abita.
