Pours a brilliantly clear amber with a froathy white head. Some caramel and toasted malt aroma with a punch of noble type hop aroma. Flavor is nice. Not special. Not offensive. A nice drinking beer. A touch more on the toasted side than caramel, but neither are really all that upfront. Thin palate. Better than swill, but not great.

Attractive amber color. Not much of a head or lacing (bottle). Just a regular Amber beer, nothing great or not so great about this brew.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a thin white head. Bread and grass in the nose. Light body and medium carbonation. Nondememo caramel taste. Dry finish. A completely average beer.

12-oz., courtesy the kind hospitality of BitBucket, jr. Pours a clear medium amber with a decent sudsy white head. Yeasty and bready nose. Tastes almost extracty. Little finish. Blah.

Sorta boring. Not much flavor beyond a little maltiness. Quite a let-down at 12.50 for a six pack.

From a stubby twist off 12 oz. bottle with a blurb and notched freshness date on the back label. Poured a orangey amber with a small fluffy, foamy head, a minimal amount of laced ringed sticking. Aromas of toasted grains and caramel malts, a bit leafy herbal too. Good carbonation and a crisp, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel. Tastes of toasted grains, bready, touches of sweet caramel, a soft bitterness from spicy, herbal hops and dry toasted, husky grainy finish with a little caramel lingering in the palate. Easy drinkability, quaffable, another nice lager from Abita.

Draft - Baton Rouge. Brilliant Copper with little to no head. Lean body with thin toffee flavors. Smooth finish.
