It went rather well spicy Cajun food like crawfish etouffee, gumbo, and jambalaya. Still it’s one step above a typical domestic light beer in my mind. Lacks in flavor, body, complexity, and aroma. Drinkable though bu11zeye (5608), Frisco, Texas, USA

Aroma of nuts, toasted grain, and grass. Flavor of nuts, grass, toasted malt, and caramel. ronaldtheriot (64), Laplace, Louisiana, USA

I really only every drank this back in the day becase Emril would cook with it. I will tell you this, for some reason it makes great BBQ sauce Strangebrewer (222), Chatham, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 29, 2009 bottle. Poured clear bronze with lasting off-white head. Mild tart caramel hop aroma. Watery mouthfeel. Light roasty caramel flavour, then it’s gone. Slight dry finish. Gypsy19 (647), California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | May 26, 2009 Pours a tan cream-soda color with an enormous head that fades very slowly. Aroma is of caramel malts, metal, and a little brown sugar. Flavor was a disappointment; Like an Anheuser-Busch dark lager. Basically a watery lager with just a hint of caramel or toffee sweetness. Other than that, very watery, thin, dull. Drinkable, but not highly enjoyable. Overall, fair. Peterlemonjelo (35), Birmingham, Alabama, USA

A - Pours a lovely amber/orange color with a generous head and nice lacing. Very nice looking beer.
S - Not a lot too this one. Very muted aroma of malt/bread but hop aroma is pretty much nonexistent.
T - Caramel malts and water dominate this tasting experience. Still not a lot of hops to be found. Slight bitterness but no real hop flavor.
M - thin and watery. Carbonation is prickly and help a little, but it just seems awfully thin.
D - This beer is more boring than it is bad. I could drink a couple but wouldn’t really enjoy any of them. storm13 (2), Covington, Louisiana, USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2009 Solid Amber beer.
