A little watery to be a favorite, but as noted in other ratings, is made with exceptionally nice water. Has a certain sweetness to it, but more of sugar than malt. Nicely balanced hop wise. It is the most prevalent marker. Clear, crisp refreshing, yet very watery. Small amounts of malt in this weak amber. JohnC (2288), Mission Viejo, California, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 14, 2005 Pour is a clear brown with a small head. Aroma could use some work but you do get some faint whiffs of malt. Flavor is much better. Lots of roasted carmel malts with a touch of brown sugar. Overall pretty bland though as the flavor does not make up for the lack of aroma or the weak look. If you going to try a Abita beer, try the turbo dog. ericmc83 (200), Arkansas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 1, 2005 A hint of hops in the beginning with a somewhat malty finish. Nothing offensive, but it’s kind of bland. Nothing stands out at all. BillyM (149), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 26, 2005 Cloudy amber color. Hops and wheat and corn. Fairly average tasting ale, but it did have a little extra flavor with a slight caramel note. Not too exciting, but not bad either. [$6.29/6pk] zeprck (24), Boone, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 25, 2005 Had this in a bottle and it tasted really buttery; enough so that it was tough to finish. Had it later the same day on tap, this was much milder. The basic flavor was the same, just less overwhelming, more balanced.
