Light yellow with a small white head. Chalky texture with very light malt sweetness. Not much hop definition. Pretty boring overall.

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium amber. Aroma is moderately malty (bread, grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly grainy. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A somewhat husky, cooked corn concoction that doesn’t seem to be trying to be anything better than below-average.

This is a beer with sentamental value. It reminds me of a trip to New Orleans. I have always liked it, though it isn’t spectacular... it is a really good middle of the road amber. Nutty/honey aroma. The flavor is also nutty with a bit of molasses. It is a pretty clear brown. Fast diminishing head. Good beer. I will choose it over many.

bottle. nutty, slightly fruity aroma, low head. earthy flavor, full rounded mouthfeel, with maybe some other grains (wheat?) contributing. Sweet, but without too much hop balance. Good amber.

Amber, no head, little carbonation, bready aroma, very smooth and creamier than expected but with a very clean aftertaste. Malty is a good general description I guess. Not bad but not complex enough for my taste.

next to no head, crystal clear amber. I actually like how this smells, sweet malts, caramel, some metallic. reasonable color. Very watery and malty, nice malts, actually. Not as dusty tasting as some. decent hop character. Only problem I have is that it is very watery and uneventful.

The latest ubiquitious beer of the French Quarter. When I first started visiting New Orleans, Blackened Voodoo was in every bar. This isn’t an appropriate replacement, but I guess it satisfies the visitors who normally drink mass-produced pale lagers. Nice look, pleasant aroma, and not a bad taste.
