Cornfield (4255), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Sep 14, 2004 The latest ubiquitious beer of the French Quarter. When I first started visiting New Orleans, Blackened Voodoo was in every bar. This isn’t an appropriate replacement, but I guess it satisfies the visitors who normally drink mass-produced pale lagers. Nice look, pleasant aroma, and not a bad taste.
soyorganic (116), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 27, 2008 Bottle: This beer has just enough malt taste and backbone to keep you interested. But I did notice a slightly watered down taste. Heavy carbonation and not much caramel flavor. Decent beer and good session beer. Biddle_Brau (135), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Aug 26, 2008 Amber color with decent head. Malty aroma that carries through onto the tongue. Very sweet/carmally with hops barely showing up for this one. Pershing (65), Garland, Texas, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bright Amber with a small white head. Thin and dry with a little sweetness. Not much to this beer. nhamilton (10), Cibolo, Texas, USA Jul 27, 2008 Actually got this a a burger joint. It has a smooth taste and goes down easy enough. However, it did not have any knockout capabilty and is therefore rated as average. Beerbrewer85 (4), Portales, New Mexico, USA does not count Jul 27, 2008 I drank this in a bar on Bourbon Street in New Orleans on July 20th. It was served in a bottle, cold, and tasted a little like Shiner Bock, for those who are familiar with the popular Texas brew. It was descent for a micro brew trying to make it in the macro world. I would’ve rather had an amber ale than this amber lager.
