Pours a light gold with a large rising head. Aroma is decent enough, of peaches and hops. Flavor is where this heads south: It starts out somewhat IPA-esque with a little hops and bitter fruit, and then all of a sudden, "Is this malt liquor?!?". The middle and the end is like turpentine or nail polish remover, with a splash of cheap cologne. I’ll still finish it, but that second half is rough. Overall, fair.

Minimal head from a pretty vigorous pour. Disappeared almost instantly. Light fruity aroma with some peaches and light malts. Color is a bright golden orange. Flavor is a weak malty backbone with some more light fruit hanging around. White grape and pear. This is not as sickly sweet as most dopplebocks which is very welcome. Noticable alcohol presence. Pretty plain but still good. Not much depth or character. Finishes warming and sweet. A welcome change to the thick malty dopplebocks.

Bomber from BevMo, MV. Medium straw/golden in color. Sweet candy sugar aromas. Some fruitiness. Flavor is fairly grainy with a little bit of alcohol. Not all that terribly flavorful. Decent sipper.

I was surprised to see this a a local beer fest being poured out of 22 oz bottles. Color was a hazy yellow, with a medium white head and decent lacing. Nose of grains and light malts, with some floral and grassy hops. Mouthfeel is on the light side. Favors are dominated by the floral hops and some citrus shows up now. Finish is full of alcohol. I am somehow not convinced this is true to its style, and while quite drinkable is somehow kind of underwhelming.

Pale yellow lager appearance. Has a pretty good foamy white head. Slight volatile yeast smell. Quite strong, tries to be alky maximus. Even tho at times I feel an american belgian dubbel imitation style influence, this stuff comes across like a cheaper ice beer or malt liqour. Quite rude at times. Finish is alky linger in yer face, seems more than 8%. A big strong american beer, wew. Too expensive for the experience. $5 for a bomber. Excuse me, not impressed.

22oz bomber. Pours a brilliant, clear, yellow with a very thick (though somewhat short-lived) head that leaves occasional wide swaths of lace on the glass. The aroma is grainy, bready, slightly malt sweet, spicy with noble hops (smells like Saaz I thought, but label says Liberty which is a Hallertauer variant), with light, subtle sweet corn. The flavor starts as a delicate, gentle, malt breadiness with touches of honey, corn syrup, and soft floral and spicy hops. The hop flavor is pleasant, floral, and lightly earthy at mid-palate. Also at mid-tongue, a balancing level of bitterness enters - some from hops and some from ethanol. The finish is more on the full side than the dry side with floral, perfumey hop character and a light grainy sweetness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied - a bit more watery than expected from an 8% lager - and pleasantly carbonated: lively but without sharpness or over-vigorous bite. Overall, a very drinkable helles bock. It does not feel like an 8% beer. It feels more like 6. So it is deceptive in that way. It seems more like a dortmunder export than a bock...

22 oz bottle - Pours a faintly hazy straw yellow color with medium sized fluffy pure white head. Aroma has light caramel, notes of bananna, coriander, faint herbal hops. Flavor has bananna, herbal hops, light oak, vaguely metallic notes, with a crisp, balanced finish. Palate is a bit thick. Not terrible, but not very good.
