22oz - Clear sparkling gold, thin white fizzy head. Toasted sweet bread and golden raisin aromas ride light waves of grassy caramel tones. Hints of sweet dark fruit and bready-like notes sit atop further grassy hop tones. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, yeasty sweet finish. Decent brew, but misclassified in my opinion...

Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is earthy with some corn and maybe some floral hops. Flavor is little stronger then the nose. Slightly sweet flavor up front that gives way to the earthy grains. Very slight warming on the finish.

22oz bottle from BevMo! Mission Valley. Yellowish gold with a tiny head. Aroma is mostly corn as is the taste with some grains. Dopplebock?

Smells like swamp gas with sulfer and rotting vegetables. Clear golden with a white head. A smooth medium body carries elegant flavors of canned creamed corn and vintage white breads, with a Orleans flood water earthyness to finish.

Pours a clear golden in color with a small to medium off white head that recedes....Aroma is grainy and malty, like it should be with a light hop presence reminiscent of other double helles. Taste: a medium bodied beer with alot of pale malt character- bready and doughy, light honey, some light earthy/spicy hops, tasted is skewed to the sweeter side as a helles should be. Tastes fresh, no corn or other off flavors noted. Mild noble hop flavor and some light hop bitterness in the finish. I am thinking either I drank something completely different or this one might be slightly underrated? Just classifying it as a doppelbock might be deceiving....

22oz bomber from the Pizza Port Bottleshop. Kind of a random selection. This didn’t really remind me of a Doppelbock. Dark blond color with short-lived white head. Aroma is light fruits of apricot and lemon, with a stale hops and cereal malt note. Flavor is weak and almost unpleasant. Weak malt profile with no lasting flavors on the finish. Dry and thin bodied. Eh, whatever...

This bubbly yellow beer poured with a decent white head and a skunky malt aroma. There is a substantial caramel malt flavor with some hop bitterness and carbonation.

Bottle from Daniel. Thanks. Pours out a yellowish color with a white head on it. Smell is sweet and somewhat fruity, some malt presence, not many hops. Bleh. Taste is smooth and easy to drink, no presence of hops. Very malty, perhaps too malty. Not really what I was expecting. Not really to style at all. More like a European Strong Lager than anything else.
