Sweet malt flavor with light orange citrus and light spice. Medium bodied. Easy drinking. Sweet malt lingers with light orange. wilkie (1191), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Bottle. Pours golden, with a medium white head, some lacing, fairly quick dispersion. Aroma is toasted malts, cereal, bread. Flavor is similar. Faint caramel taste. This is not a doppelbock, and although it does have some helles characteristics, it is pretty awful. aguyintx66 (78), Humble, Texas, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 1, 2009 Bottle. I am continually underwhelmed by Abita, but I figured if they took the time to put this in a bomber, it might not be half bad. When I saw the rating on here, I figured that it was going to be more of the same. Poured a clear, almost piss color gold. Not bad looking, especially if you like that. Aroma was heavy on sweet malt and yeast, with something that made it not very appealing. A bit sweeter than I expected, even when you take the aroma into account. Alot of cornbread like qualities as well. Some earthy, grass like hops in the finish. Flavor wasn’t quite as bad as the aroma, but it still just was not too great. Why do I still buy their beers? And why are they so widely distrubed? macguy (145), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 1, 2009 The first thing I noticed about this beer is that it shone like a jewel. It is crystal clear; no doubt due to being finely filtered. It has a flower nose and you’re ready for the taste of sweetness but it barely comes. This is the right time of year for high alcohol beers and Andygator does not disappoint. The taste is on the lightish side with a nice hoppish finish. Cornfield (4942), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2009 Bomber from Sam’s in Downers Grove, IL: It has a rich gold body with a lofty head that leaves plenty of lacework. It has a sweet malty aroma along with apples, creamed corn, and an odd milky scent. The corn and milk aren’t in the flavor and there’s some grassy bitterness to offset he sweetness. Not bad tasting, but the aroma hurts the overall experience. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 1, 2009 Pours a clear gold with a tall, long lasting white head.
Malty aroma that is "off" in some way, but I can’t put a finger on it.
Decent, but doesn’t have the full on maltiness of a good Doppelbock.

Pours a very clear pale yellow color body, with a huge white creamy head, diminishing. Very sweet fruity aroma, like a fruit cocktail. Some nuttiness too. Some light apples and grapes, light fruit aromas. Effervescent. Some nuts too, like hazelnut or something. Carbonated slightly nutty taste, some alcohol. Lots of light fruit. Some maltiness and nuttiness present. Lots of flavor. Not too bad tasting. Banana taste. A little too sweet for my taste. Hotter as it warms up.
