Pours a yellow gold with a diminishing white head that has some lacing. The aroma is moderate with boiled vegetables, corn and sweetened condensed milk. The taste is pretty much same as the aroma, very malt liquorish with many sweet off-flavors. The mouth feel is nothing to write home about. The finish is medium in duration with sweet canned corn. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours an average thin, but deep, yellow with light carbonation. Nice head of white leaves a latticework along the edge of the glass as the foam dissipates. Aroma is corn flakes in skim milk. Flavor is glamourized corn syrup and corn flakes. Thin mouthfeel. Grassy finish. Not worth a re-visit. dkachur (2376), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Pours a clear gold color with a huge head. Decent head retention and nice lacing. Odd aroma is full of corn like adjunct notes and grain. Taste is grain, sweet malts and grassy hops. Full bodied. This is an odd beast. ucusty (1887), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 23, 2009 Pours a pale gold/amber with a substantial white head that laces the glass. Sweet corn aroma with some hop flower notes. Slightly off sweet malt, corn, hard candy and hop bitterness flavor. Pleasant, but not overly well balanced. Some inferior alcohol notes, but not bad by any means. I tend to agree with the previous rater - - kind of a higher quality ML. Doppelbock? No way Jose. Pours a golden colour, with a mighty fine white head, fantastic lacing to boot! .. some corn, honey, gater, types of aromas ... an interesting take on a bock, a nice brew but seems more like a high grade pro malt liquour ... check with poland, nothing happened .. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate grainy & hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations were not met.
