Uhh, not my bag baby. Poured clear gold with a frothy white head. Nice lacing. Sweet, perfume aroma laden with spun sugar, lemon, and malt. Sparkling mouthfeel, kept the feel light. Taste started off good, but got sickening towards the end of the glass. Lots of corn and crystal malt int he beginning, very nice. Light fruitiness, light sweetness that kept in check. Somehow, it seemed to build up in your mouth, though. Soon, the taste turned into a grape-candy and straw disaster. Its was like the Sam Adams Longshot Grape beer on steroids. The finish was long and sticky, and very unpleasant. If it remained constant in the beginning, I would have really liked this beer. But as it is, no way.

22oz. This is really bad. Just tons of black pepper with artificial, sweet, fruity syrups (bad combo). Hard to drink: thick, spicy, revolting.

Bottle from Gainesville, FL for $6. Dark brown, did not notice much of a head. Tasted sweet/floral with lots of black pepper? Overall not very good.

In short: A gross mega-sweet sticky fruit and floral juice with bubbles. Bad.
How: Bottle 22oz. . Consumed fresh soon after purchase. Tasting session with Montreal crew
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a very small white head
In long: Nose is a little floral (scented flowers). Taste is not just bland, it is borderline offensive. Sweet pears, sweetened apple juice, bee wax, strange floral bitterness. Fizzy carbonation, body a little sticky. Wow, that was pretty bad. I hope to never drink this crap again. See you never again Andygetor.

Smell is okay. Quite yellow but a good appearnace. This is a pretty good lager. Dry beginning with a good malt middle and some hops in the finish. Quite refreshing. Would make a good session beer.

22oz. bottle. Very faint aroma. Slightly grassy with a bit of banana. Pours straw colored and quite cloudy with a very thin head. Fairly sweet with a crisp, dry finish. Does carry a slightly bitter aftertaste. Nice full body with lively carbonation. It’s nice but not enough to buy again.

This is a good malt liquor offering from Abita Brewing. It has a thin head (typical for this genre), very cloudy (atypical) gold appearance, and a somewhat citrus aroma. The taste is not too harsh, but there is a pronounced alcohol presence. Andy Gator weighs heavy on the palate. Overall, it’s a fairly good beer to have, and would probably go very well with spicy foods, salad, and hogs head cheese. RJT

Clear straw pour, nice head and lace, rising bubbles, yum. Sweet bready aroma. Nice carb, a sweet brew with light corny, biscuity flavor. A bit of hefe-type banana and cinnamon, with low soapy undertones. OK, light and refreshing.

On tap at Tyler’s. Poured golden with a very thin and dissipating head. Aroma was just not very good. To be honest it smelled like stale Busch light, but luckily the taste was much better. A surprising hoppy kick with a dry finish. I got two just because the glass was so cool and I got to keep ’em.
