Nov 28, 2009 The first pour is a clear, very dark cherry wood stain topped by a cream-colored, very dense head that lingers. Banana bread and spicy alcohol on the nose, a little bit of dried fruit. Foamy mouthfeel from the head and relatively high carbonation level.

Nov 26, 2009 The color is a redish brown with a clear tint, and an off white head that is thin and smears the sides of the glass. The nose is fruity with floral hops. This beer has a strong initial bite. It is very tart with apple, raspberry,lemon hops. The flavor fades to a sticky Carmel malt toffe that coats your mouth. The beer is very smooth, light in color but not in body or hop flavor, and there is a lot of carbonation.

Nov 25, 2009 This is a delicious dark ale with a creamy beige head, nutty aroma, and dark amber and somewhat cloudy appearance. The taste is very bready and caramel notes are present. It has a heavy mouth feel, but no alcohol taste was detected. It is very strong, however, so one is warned. Should pair well with spicy foods or even better as simply a stand-alone beer.

Nov 24, 2009 Dark amber pour, massive head and lace. Fruity dry aroma. Sweet juicy star, finishes with hoppy alcohol. Very sweet, a little low in carbonation. Very aggressive in the hops and alcohol department. A little much honestly, but mellowed as it warmed.
