Med/light body. Lightly sweet malt flavors, not much else. Finish is medium dry. Fairly one dimensional. Thanks to kawa for this trade. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Nov 11, 2004 Filtered light gold color with small, thin white head. Aroma is all DMS and musty malt. Taste has a toastiness to it but this isn’t a good beer at all. No balance, thin boy and a putrid taste. Adios muchacho. Cornfield (4928), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 10, 2004 Updated: Jun 27, 2006This is awfully light, golden in color, even for a Maibock, although it’s practically headless like one. Sweet malt aroma with a hint of grassiness. It seems to be a bit watery in the mouth. The sweet maltiness is pretty subdued for a bock. Very clean finish.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 17, 2004 Clear orange pour with a soapy head that starts off big, but settles down to a thin layer. Sweet aroma. A little bit of the hay mentioned by some other raters. I was expecting something with a bit more full bodied. This was a bit watery. It doesn’t taste bad, but its not good either. This would be a good replacement for those who just want a bunch of beers they can slam back. Not filling at all, light bodied and refreshing. Tejas (696), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 3, 2004 Aroma is almost non-existent. Pours a lightish cloudy caramel color. Can definitely taste the hops and some fruit that I can’t put my finger on. Whatever it is, I don’t care for it. Glad this was a freebie. I’ve drank half; don’t think I can get the other half down. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 30, 2004 Pours a foamy off-white head on a clear golden body. Quite sharp and somewhat harsh in the hayish and flowery aroma. Thin fruity and strawish flavor, notes of citrus and hops. Very uninteresting. aceofhearts (1375), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 15, 2004 Bottle. Hmm, how did I miss this one this whole time? Extremely light for a bock, I was thinking exactly the same thing that the most recent rater thought: that it looks more like a pilsener. The taste is decidedly non-bockish, but as it stands, it would be a decent sports watching beer and I’ll rate it as such. A little effervescent and otherwise, it’s pretty much an amber ale with some chocolate thrown in. jaymobrown (1354), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jul 14, 2004 Dull sugar nose. Clear yellow pilsner looking. Lemon flavors with a dry, straw finish. A bock? No, no, no. Complete failure.
