| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 14, 2008 Poured a nice amber color with a couple of fingers of head. Not much lacing though as the head dropped. Slightly cloudy. Nice malt smell and taste. Just a slight hops bitterness in aftertaste. Easy to drink and I would not have guessed the ABV at over 6, although the alcohol came out just a bit on the final drink after it warmed. blutt59 (2100), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 2, 2008 Amber/brown color with a light tan head. Malty is the operative word on this one. Malt is the prominent note on the nose as well as in the taste. Also, hoppy, slightly bitter, just a little bit of biscuit/bread taste and a little alcohol ring on the finish. If you’re familiar with Shiner Bock, this one is quite similar. Abita gets my nod as the better of the two, by a slight margin. Cajun (144), New Iberia, Louisiana, USA
