Some grain in the taste as well. High carbonation, yet decent mouthfeel. Pretty ordinary, nothing really stands out in this beer. I like it better than many of their brews though. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 29, 2002 Yep, had a decent caramel flavor. Something about the taste annoyed me after three beers, and i’m not too sure what it was, nor do i personally care too much either, because i probably wont be buying this stuff again, unless however, my only other choices are Coors Light and Bud light. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Mar 20, 2002 I liked this better than Shiner Bock. It had a average sized head that died quickly. It smelled of caramel without any skunkiness like Shiner. It went down smooth with little aftertaste. Easy to drink bock. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 1, 2008 This was not much different from a typical pale bock that you see during the Spring, but this one seems to be a little more watery. A nice beer still. kujo9 (1077), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Mar 3, 2006 12 oz bottle: Pours clear, lightly amber w/ a short lived off white head. Medium toasty malt dominates with just a hint of green apple tartness, clean with some light floral hops, otherwise un inspiring. Clean toasty malt taste w/ a bit of tartness up front. Clean and bland otherwise. Finish is on the semi sweet dry side w/ a bit of toasty malt in the short lived aftertaste. Highly carbonated, prickly m/f. Smooth. A good starter beer for switching someone to better beer without killing their palate. BREWMUSKCLES (1075), New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 16, 2009 Updated: Mar 17, 2009THIS BEER IS REFRESHING and different for a bock. of course i know abita to use their own take on most brew styles and this is an example. happily this is a pretty good beer it is moderately tasty, slicky sweet, substantive enough with malt and has an almost moderate hops and citrus fruit flavor that is enjoyable. there is a cold, clean and clear water mouthfeel and taste to their beers that i have noticed and find myself looking for now, because it is intruiging chiefly since the flavor and alcohol are not weak. papajohn (1055), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 12, 2004 Light golden color. A little white head. Malty aroma, some spice maybe, but not that impressive. Flavor was thing, some malt, but that's about it. Nothing to write home about. Bought this 12 oz bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, NY.
