A light amber colored body. Aroma of maple with some fall leaves, grass and socks. The taste is dry cherries with some walnuts. Finishes a little soapy. I had this one again and got about the same impression. A decent bock.

One of the 12-oz bottles sampled from the Abita Party Pack, acquired from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear light amber brew with a thin and fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a fine white ring and no lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt and some grassy hops. Taste is light to medium bodied, well-carbonated with some caramel malt and citrus zest. Finish is watery, with a semi-sweet caramel malt aftertaste. One of the lightest bock beers I have tried.

Bottle (12oz). Thanks to my Summer06 SecretSanta!. Bottle best before July ... something, but what do they know? Poured clear amber with reddish tinges at the top, a small off-white foamy head. Decent aroma - bready yeast, lightly toasted cereal grain malt, a hint of alcohol and light citrus hops, maybe a hint of sulfur on warming. Tastes like a bock - bitter herbal hops, grainy toasted malt, hint of citrus and alcohol, a little floral sweetness balanced the medium bitter finish. Average boday, astringent, a little stickiness on the tongue - pretty solid, really, defnitely over 3 and one of their better offerings IMO.

This bottled marked best before 6/17 did not state what year it was bottled int? This brew poured a large sized head of fine to large sized off-white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body was a carbonated transparent orange brown color. The aroma was malty and not bock like. The mouth feel had a medium tingle that smoothened in the finish. Its sweet and malty flavor went down easily.

Gorgeous glass ... bronze and bubbly with a big poofy pillow of a head. Sugar-alcohol aroma ... the flavors are initially disappointingly faint ... but the more you go, the more it settles ... very light caramel malt, a hint of the alcohol, and an overall well-balanced brew. I’d say it’s a pretty decent blonde bock.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Big malty content, caramel, grain, light fruity esters and some unrefined sugars. Decent.

Bottle poured a clear amber with a small dissapating off white head. Aromas of toasted malt, peaches and apples. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of sweet malt, apple, and a hint of peach with a sweet semi dry finish.

Bottle. Pours deep gold, brassy orange with a patchy white head and falling patchy lacing. Aroma is fruity (peach, pear, apple), malt (light roasted grain, meal) and yeast (sour dough, sweat, broth). Lightly sweet and bitter, buttery biscuit start to the flavor, medium acidity creates a dry finish, lasting sour dough yeast and metal flavors. Light bodied and creamy, fizzy palate.
