Filtered light gold color with small, thin white head. Aroma is all DMS and musty malt. Taste has a toastiness to it but this isn’t a good beer at all. No balance, thin boy and a putrid taste. Adios muchacho.

Bottle. Poured a small white creamy and smooth head with fine sized bubbles that quickly dissipated. Fast-rising carbonation, transparent and a gold hue. The aroma was malty, sweet, and clove. The flavor was sweet, malty and very watery. The mouthfeel was smooth, watery and thin. This was a light bodied beer with sparse lacing. Nothing outstanding here.

12 oz bottle - Central Market - Austin, Tx. Pours a dark orange with little to no head - what is there is snow white. Aroma is pretty much non-dememo - pick up some fresh lake water accents, a faint whisp of caramel. Flavor has some of those same malty caramel notes with a bit of cotton candy sweetness. Mouthfeel is thick and slightly syrupy - highlight of this one. A very decent bock- especially from the south. Enjoyed

Listed as Abita Mardi Gras. Pours with a small, off-white head and a clear bronze body. Aroma is weak with honey, light spice and bread. Taste is malt, honey, watery with some notes. Fizzy mouthfeel. A bit watery.

Pours a light brownish-orange with a thin off-white head. Very thin lacing. Light malt aroma. Thin to medium-bodied with a clean malt flavor. Smooth and a little watery though. The finish is a little spicy and malty. Overall not bad, it just felt like there could have been more to this.

What’s the deal with the SOURNESS! I’m so not into this brew. I guess if you’re from New Orleans, this is the best you can do. It’s the color of a pils, when it should be dark. Doh!, we forgot the malt! Tastes like a high gravity Bud.

Clear and deep golden; weak head leaves only a fine white ring clinging to the glass for dear life. Sugary texture with a fizzy carbonation. Pinch of DMS lingers in the nose. Finishes relatively clean, with a little sweet/sour thing going on. Grainy cereal notes. Almost white-winish in nature. Apple notes linger in the aftertaste; combination of Granny Smith and Golden Delicious. Herbs, light flowers and a nip of grass.

Yellow body, lots of billowing head. Sweet corn and lemon aroma, hints of bubblegum. Some nice flavor hints, leaning toward a hefeweizen (?!), some faint spicy notes even. LIghtly fruity finish. Yet, all told, mild in flavor. Moderately frothy palate. Sessionable, drinkable, even vaguely likable, but they call this a bock? Oh well.
