Sweeter than I initially expected, but decent none the less. My initial reaction was that I could tell this was an abita beer as it shared a bit of the "purple haze" taste when I first cracked into it. KimJohansen (7150), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 22, 2008 This is the second "Mardi Gras" themed beer I’ve had this year. The first being Lost Abbey Carnevale Ale. ( Which is an interesting trend.) 12oz twist-off bottle. Pours a light amber color, white foamy head. Aroma of a pale lager. Light aroma of caramel. Hints of corn. Flavor is rich and malty. Not necessarily sugary, but the flavor consists of a rich cereal, malted barley. Rich flavored and somewhat medium bodied. Pleasant bitterness to follow. I am rather impressed with this offering.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Very similar overtones to the turbodog. Very malty with a carbonated finish with a small amount of hops. Sometimes this comes across as too sweet, but I like it nonetheless. Nuffield (2747), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 19, 2004 Yellow body, lots of billowing head. Sweet corn and lemon aroma, hints of bubblegum. Some nice flavor hints, leaning toward a hefeweizen (?!), some faint spicy notes even. LIghtly fruity finish. Yet, all told, mild in flavor. Moderately frothy palate. Sessionable, drinkable, even vaguely likable, but they call this a bock? Oh well. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
