Pours an amber body with a small head. Almost no carbonation. Aroma of malt. Flavor is malty with a harsh dry bitterness. A bit of caramel, spice, and hops rounds out the malt. An average beer at best.

2007 bottle, taken from a six pack at Total Wine, in Huntersville, NC. This year’s label is silver, with a maroon/red lettering. Beer pours a dark amber color with a light white head. Aroma is lightly spicy. Taste is hoppy with a sharp bite on the end. Not bad, but nothing too special.

Syrupy, like maple syrup and bread crust. Yet this is surprisingly dry at the same time.

Bright, dark reddish-amber. Slightly toasty, nutty accent. Thin body but crackerlike toastiness, stale hop.

2007 Pours a darker amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is weak with sweet malts, caramel, spices, and very little hops. Flavor was better then I was expecting. Starts off with the slight spices and caramel malts. Finishes with some hops for a slightly bitter finish. This beer is okay.

This beer has a nice hop flower aroma and taste. The color is a bit plain, being a clear amber with no bubbles. It’s a bitter brew resembling an IPA.
