Has a flavor more like Newcastle than anything else, but a touch lighter. Makes for a great Christmas beer, as it should. A nice change from the Fall Fest.

2006 Draught - I might be the first to rate this one for the year, and I guess they did a little better this time around? Amber color with light grainy aroma. Taste is very grainy-chewy-malty. Alot like a turbodog. Not my favorite style, but this is a nice change of pace.

Sweet caramel malt aroma. Nice. Beautiful, reddish amber color with yellow hues on the edges. No lace, mostly eroding head. Off-white to almost light tan head. Flavor is frankly ordinary. Dry and somewhat vacuous. Remarkably flavorless for a 6%+ beer. Seeing that this was brewed in December, it may have lost some of its character in the 9 months hence. Very bland and dry.

100% blind rating. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), with light notes of cardboard. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Wot???

There is a very earthy funkiness going on in both aroma and taste. Musty maybe? Very much on the thin side. Hints of a caramelly malty sweetness, but it never really goes anywhere. Not much else to say.

Appears a red amber with a small white head that quickly fades into a small collar. Smell is malty, bready, with a sugary, corn syrup aroma standing out. Taste is of the same aromas albeit kind of weak with mild honey in the mix somewhere. Mouthfeel is watery, cardboard-ish, with an off, flowery funkyness in the finish.

12oz bottle shared courtesy of weeare138. Poured a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of caramel and just all around earthy. I really didn’t get too much out of this one and wrote down all around bland. Thinner body.

Pours a clear orange pink color with a nice amount of froathy white head. Aroma aint too hot: mostly just some caramel malt and a slightly hayish sour undertone. Flavor too is off the mark: slightly nutty and sweet, but mostly stale overcarbonated sweet brown sugar thats watered down. Overall, very subpar.
