| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 19, 2007 Bottled. Poured clear orangey-golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma was soft and rather artificial with caramel, dusty grains, and detergent with a pinch of lemon right at the end. The flavor had toasted, grainy caramel at the core with herbal and citrus hoppage surrounding.. it lost the detergent, but didn’t pick up anything really good. Lighter-bodied and slick on the palate.. never got its legs. This had no glaring flaws, but just wasn’t very good. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 19, 2007 Bottle. Amber color. Cereal malt aroma, with hints of "Apple Jacks" and/or "Froot Loops" and some fresh grass. Flavor kind of underwhelming--mildly honeyed cereal malts mostly, with some meager hop traces in the back. However, seems weak and dull in body and character. Any real flavors dissolve quickly in the finish. Basically, a bland American Oktoberfest-style snoozer. At least there’s the elevated ABV, if that’s a plus. wshores (57), Saltillo, Texas, USA

Abita tends to Americanize all of its styles. Buy a party pack 12 bottles and enjoy each with a friend. except the light, give that to the bum down the street. drpimento (882), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 4, 2007 Not too bad on its own. A little lighter in color than tradition. Body’s not too bad. Quaffable. Poured a nice head but that quickly setted down. Nice toffee flavors up front. A bit too carbonated. Decent finish. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 22, 2007 Rated 8/8/06: Solid in all aspects, I enjoyed this fall seasonal in the middle of summer. Cracked the bottle and to my joy the freshness was still there. Mild sweet aroma, pours a dirty bronze color with a thin head and very little lacing. Creamy mouthfeel that has just enough fullness to it to be satisfying. Flavor is also mild and sweet, I detect a presence of honey mixed in with the malt. Enjoyable but not very exciting. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Bottle, Seriously a Marzen, I don’t think so it really lakes the malty character of the style, as well as body. This is no Ayinger. NJBeerman013 (783), Trenton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 20, 2007 Bottle - Pours fairly light amber, a bit out of place for a Marzen. Pale whie head doesn’t last very long at all. Well balanced flavor, but not as malty as I would like for this style. Cheapdark said correctly - Lager with personality.
