Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a copper color with a large tan head. The aroma is sweet and lightly fruity with a slightly macro sour undertone. The flavor is sour macro tang with a sweet underside that is moderately bready. The finish is a bit chewy. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 25, 2006 Abita Fall Fest pours to a beautiful, bright amber color with a nice white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose is very malty with big aromas of sweet malt paired with toasty and nutty aromas. The palate is firm with lots of toasty and nutty flavors that roll over the tongue. The body is round and clean, making this beer very drinkable and delicious. Abita Fall Fest finishes with more toasty and nutty flavors, then ends with a nice touch of grassy hop bitterness that balances this beer out to perfection.
This was a very well done domestic example of marzen, and perfect for the Fall in Louisiana. I matched this beer with a number of dishes when I was in New Orleans. It went very well with spicy barbecued crab claws, sea food gumbo, jambalaya, muffaletta sandwiches, Lucky Dog Creole Sausages, even raw oysters. AlchemistZ (493), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Aroma is bready, slightly fruity (ale-like). Flavor is toasty, bready malt with some fruit and caramel. Bitterness is focused and has a sweet/tart character. Palate is soft and creamy. Not a bad beer, a litle malty, bready, a little note of sourness... nothing special. n0kwa (34), Talisheek, Louisiana, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 13, 2004 Barely any aroma, an orangy-yellow body and a thin white head. This tastes like any old lager. I was expecting something more impressive from Abita, but this is just a beer. Good for fall, I guess.
