Commercial Description:
Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale is made with English Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. We liberally hopped and dry hopped our Ale with American Cascade and Centennial hops and fermented it with California Ale yeast. The result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

Not particularly hoppy, a blonde colored beer with a mild taste, low on bitterness and somewhat fruity.

Rich gold/brass color. Moderate and fairly persistent fluffy head. Malty nose. Clean slightly citris taste. Lower than average bitterness for a pale ale. Very understated and short hop finish. This is a good brew for hot weather.

Bottle. Hazy golden pour w/ slight head. Citrus aroma present. Sour finish. Was not a fan. Week offering from Abita.

Hazy dull straw. Woody, slightly lemony hop nose with light pale malts. Some wood and tropical fruit taste. Fairly low bitterness. A bit watery in the finish, and despite some nice hop notes the malts never amount to much.

Citrus with hints of caramel aroma. Almost transparent deep yellow, nicely carbonated and bubbly, almost no head. Slight caramel flavor upfront with a nice smooth citrus finish. Thin dry almost earthy palate but surprisingly smooth.

A bit thinner than I like a pale ale to be. Very light and refreshing, however. Not a lot of body, but crisp hop taste with some malt to speak of. No complexity in the palate - straighforward and simple. Finishes like it starts, thin, but decent flavor.
