| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 8, 2007 Enjoyed out of the bottle from Jeff’s Spirits on Main. Nose and taste similar to an American Pale, very nice hop flavor. Also had a hint of sorghum flavor (sort of a sour fruitiness). This was easy to drink when cold and pretty tasty. andyhite (293), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Feb 8, 2007 12 oz bottle. light amber pour and avg white head, leaving an oily film atop the brew. aromas of both wet- and dry-hopping, as well as the mixture of woods you would find in a deciduous forest. mild citrus appeal in the aroma as well. my tastebuds see this as a mildly hoppy yet smooth ale. hop presence is in the taste, as well as on the palate, but the flavor isn’t too well defined. nonetheless, it is a very drinkable beer with a slight mineral zing and a note of spicy hops. good beer, but i don’t understand the low rating. rumor has it it’s about to undergo a name change into a pale ale. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 3, 2007 Rather uneventful beer, but it was for a good cause so I tried it. And for that cause, I would buy more of it if it would help out the cause. BeerBlockaid (538), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jan 24, 2007 Mild lagerfied maltiness. Grass clusters with caramel. Some citrus notes, but rather uneventful. ITs a cool cause but not a very cool brew. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 21, 2007 meh, bland and kinda boring. bought it more because they give profits to katrina victims than for the flavor. some lemon and some grassy flavors, some perfumey aromas. but blah. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jan 13, 2007 Pours a nice clear gold, topped by a quarter inch or so of cream colored foam. Okay head retention, a little lacing. Some honey-sweet malt and mild fruit in the aroma.
Tasty but short-lived flavor - with honey, pear, and drier toasted malt. These give way to a nearly vapid finish and dull, lifeless mouthfeel. A hint of citrus hops in the aftertaste is, again, short-lived. Served chilled but not cold in a Belgian goblet. mansquito (827), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 7, 2007 After reading the reviews here, I was not really expecting too much from this brew, but instead I got a beer that I wasn’t quite expecting. The beer was a lot hoppier than I had expected. The colour looked as i thought it would, but the head was pretty nice. The taste then comes off as smooth, but a little bitter with noticeable hops all through it. My father thought it was watery, but I felt that it was quite alright in that respect. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 10, 2006 12 oz bottle from Woodmans on Gammon Road in Madison, WI (October 2006) drunk in mid-October at the parents’ house from a pint glass, bit above fridge temperature. Translucent to clear amber-gold color, bubbling action in the body, with a moderate smooth-bubbled off-white head that decays quickly....doughy, lightly spicy aroma, hints of pepper and oregano but mostly it’s slushy ill-defined pale malts....vague dry grassy hops struggle futilely to find a presence amdist watery brackish malts....strong, somewhat artificial carbonation and heavy filtration lend to an unappelaing soda-like, metallic finish. OK I feel good at the 1.00 that went to charity for buying a 6er of this turkey, but I don’t feel bad about leaving the other 5 bottles to my less-discerning parents to consume.
