May 30, 2006 12oz. bottle. Hazy tarnished gold color with a small creamy white head. Sweet, somewhat doughy malt, with tinges of lemony hops. Honey, caramel, tinges of citric and floral hops in the flavor. Residual watery caramel and hints of perfumey hop component. Mouthfeel is light, somewhat dry.

May 29, 2006 Pours copper in the glass with little head and tiny lace. I really can’t pick up any aromas here, maybe some spice and marshmallow as the beer warms. Nutty flavor, slight citrus with a mild bitterness, and a smooth mouthfeel. Slightly bitter back. Extremely bland, and forgettable. It is easy to drink, but very forgettable.

May 23, 2006 12 oz bottle. Clear dark golden color with bubbly white head. Malty caramel aroma with a light flowery hop nose. Medium bodied, slightly sweet. Flavor is similar to aroma; a touch of caramel maltiness and light orange citrusy hops.

May 17, 2006 Medium gold colored body witha white head. The aroma is grape juice with some light Jonathon apples. There is not much else to smell. The taste is slightly bitter with bread crust and some apple core. There is also a hitn of ornages. A decent golden ale. Easy to drink.

May 15, 2006 Sampled from bottle. This ale pours clear golden brown with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma is robust with toasted malts and honey. Flavor is refreshingly bitter and finishes suprisingly crisp & clean. Toast & floral hops are most notable. Medium-bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Quite drinkable. Drink some today for the cause!

May 14, 2006 I’m definitely against the grain on this one. Could have been the surroundings, but had this at a crawfish boil and in the afternoon sun, a 6pk of this was really enjoyable. A big floral aroma, a touch medicinal, with a fruity hop punch. Very fresh tasting.
I’m almost afraid to buy another 6 pk; it may not be anywhere near this good, jusging by the ratings.

May 13, 2006 Bottle. Barley malt aroma - slight sweetness. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet barley malt flavor with light hops finish. Okay - better than most other Abita beers I’ve tried lately.
