Nose had notes of citrus and flowery hops, wheat, and bready pils malts. Flavor was a unpleasantly-constructed tapestry of grainy wheat, corn, sour lemon rind, bread, and tacky caramel sweetness... not bad elements in and of themselves, but did not work well here. Lighter-bodied. Palate was all over the place with sour notes, wheaty tartness, soap, and bitterness... again did not flow. Great cause, though. Mangino (1027), Mississippi, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 26, 2006 Perfectly clear amber orange color, poured with a fine tall head in a pilsener flute. Slightly fruity and gummy wheat and grain nose. Lemon and soap scents primarily, but there’s some melon scents as well that are kind of nice. Moderately hoppy sweet fruit flavor, clean and crisp on the tongue, with some light grain and sugar flavor. Wet palate. Kinz (2207), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Mar 25, 2006 Light copper, little head. Slightly smoky malt aroma. Flavor was a bit thin, very light caramel accented malts. Mildly bitter hop finish, again a hint of smoke, probably the result of using the Centennial hops for bittering. Faint hint of lemon on finish. Not bad, but not great. Nice to see the money going to a good cause at least. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2006 The beer after its disinterment from the stubby 12-ounce bottle sets in the glass a sparkling gold with a generous bright white creamy head, after its evaporation, the lace forms a tight skirt to surround the glass. Nose is crisp and clean, sweet malt noted, the start is somewhat sweet with a decent grain presence, top is light to middling in feel. Finish is determined in its acidity, the hops light but refreshing, a drinkable beer. sloth (1678), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 25, 2006 Small tan head thats short lived, leaving behind little to no lace. Hazy gold color. Nose of faint malts and citrus notes. Body is light with a prickly carbonation, watery. Light citrus flavors with some toasty malts sneaking around in there. Finish is fairly dry, quick, with a light fruitiness. What,ll i do with the other five? JFURYCAT (791), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 14, 2006 Thanks to R. Levy for bringing this bottle from New Orleans back to me in Pennsylvania. It had a nice flowery aroma but the taste had that crisp bitter yeasty flavor I associate with Abita beers. Its a few steps ahead of a macro but it seems light enough to fit the lager and not ale category. Its better than the other Abita beers I tried and hopefully greater things will come as New Orleans is restored. I would definately want this one on a hot summer day as its pretty refreshing. jeffc666 (1892), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Mar 12, 2006 Thanks argo0 for the bottle. Lightly hazed golden-amber with a quickly fading white head. Aroma is pretty subdued, orange peel hints of anise and fruit. The flavor is pretty bland, hints of honey and caramel, light bitterness. The mouthfeel is a mess, very watery and fizzy with an acidic finsih.
