Commercial Description:
Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale is made with English Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. We liberally hopped and dry hopped our Ale with American Cascade and Centennial hops and fermented it with California Ale yeast. The result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is lemon with some floral hops and wheat. Taste is a nice citrus, spice and honey. Decent session beer.

12oz bottle. Gold body with a very light, non-existent white head. Aroma is typical of a Golden Ale, malts, honey, light corn (almost mead like). Flowery body, light hops... fair, but not great taste. Bland ending, again fair but not great.

Bottle pours a clear, honey lemon color with a white head. Citrus hops and malt in the aroma. Flavor has more English malts than hops with some bitterness in the dry finish. The malt/spice aftertaste lingers awhile and the abundant carbonation provides a slight bite on the tongue.

Nice pale copper coloured body with a light amber tint and a thin fast-dying white head. Aroma of fresh hops, nice malt and a mellow sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong taste of fresher hops up front fading to a more strong malt taste and ending a bit stale with cardboard flavours most noticeable. Aftertaste shows the malt and a bit of metallic tastes throughout, not the most pleasing. Overall, a better beer than most considering the producer and a good cause for the beer - however, they could have made a lot more money with this beer if it were any good. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia by my brother-in-law on 25-December-2005.

Bottle. Pours gold with a slight amber tinge. Nose is citrus hops. Taste is about the same, without any complexity to speak of. It was solid but nothing I would be eager to drink again.

Draft at the brewpub. Golden with an orange peel and citrus hops nose. Taste is more bitter orange peel and hops. Not overly flavorful, but the flavor is not bad.

20081228 12oz bottle from RB Spirits. Light amber color with lasting, lacing, fluffy white head. Little aroma but what is there is biscuit, shortbread, and maybe some fresh, plain popcorn notes. Mostly bland, plain, with cracker and biscuit throughout. Very light fruity notes and mild bitterness at finish. Disappointing.
